Principle Of Operation.
Belt tracking occurs in the horizontal plane, where the belt makes contact with the tapered section of the Tracker Roller. When the belt begins to shift off-center, the weight distribution and varying peripheral rotational speeds between the tapered part of the Tracker Roller and the center cause the roller to pivot in the opposite direction around its central point.
The degree of pivot of the Tracker Roller depends on how far the belt deviates from the center. As the Tracker Roller is no longer perpendicular to the return belt's direction, this skewed roller automatically guides the belt back to its central position.
